2011 Vasavi Jayanthi Celebrations

This year Vasavi Jayanthi was celebrated on 5/22/11 in Sri Guruvaayoorappan Temple, Morganville, NJ 07751. It was attended by more 100 people and performed in a traditional way under the expert guidance of the Temple Priest.

The devotees were very happy to receive the Ammavari Idol. Thanks to Anand Garlapati and NRIVA Team for making this happen.

Food was arranged as a potluck.

Special Thanks to our Volunteers Yughandar Kanikicherla (who is always dedicated to this event), Srinivasan Balu, Bhasker Bhupati, Kishor Bhupati, Kishore Gopu, Venkat Sreeram, Ratnam Kanikicherla, Jaya Krishna Manda, Viswanath Chikoti, and many others whom we could not name here.

After lunch, the devotees had walking tour of the New Temple (with Vasavi Matha Sanctum) under construction, under the guidance of Temple Manager Ramakrishna Sastry.
