Dr. Sunita Kanumury, M.D., F.A.C.A.A.I.
It is a matter of great pride for our Vasavi community that one of our very own, Dr. Sunita Kanumury has been elected as President-Elect for AAPI (Association of Physicians of Indian Origin).
She will be the President of AAPI for 2011-2012. AAPI boasts a size of 14000 physicians nationwide and Dr. Sunita is the First Woman President in a decade to be elected to the position.
We congratulate her on this achievement and give her our best support.
Dr. Sunita Kanumury is a Board certified allergist in Private practice for over a decade. She has been actively involved in both medical and community service activities.
Dr. Sunita has held many Allergy and Asthma medical camps in US and India. Previously she served as Regional Director of MidAtlantic area, Member of Board of Trustees, and is presently the Vice President of AAPI.
She has also been actively involved in the community and has served as Vice President of TFAS (Telugu Fine Arts Society) in New Jersey area.
She was awarded the TFAS EXCELLENCE AWARD in Medicine during its Silver Jubilee celebrations. She was honored by the Asian Indian Chamber of Commerce few years ago for Medical Excellence .
